PRESS INVITATION

The Renewable Energy Association (REA) invites you to visit Smart Energy at Wembley Stadium on 1st and 2nd December to discover for yourself how the new ‘Feed-In’ Tariffs (due out soon) could transform the UK’s energy landscape – and how everyday people and organisations can make the difference.

REA staff will be available to talk to journalists about the detail of the current ‘Feed-In’ Tariff proposals and the forthcoming Renewable Heat Incentive.

The first Smart Energy Show at Wembley Stadium is open free to the public and future stakeholders in the low carbon economy. The show features:

  • Top speakers including Dr Steve Howard (The Climate Group), Jeremy Leggett (Solarcentury), Miguel Mendonca (author Powering The Green Economy), Alan Simpson MP and Pilgrim Beart (AlertMe - UK provider of Google’s new smart meter platform)
  • Technology exhibition including companies in pv, wind, pellet boilers, heat pumps, solar thermal, biomass district heating etc.
  • Practical case studies of applied renewable technologies in industry, the public sector, local government and historic buildings
  • Expert technology advice on renewable heat, cooling, power, energy efficiency and grid connections
  • Pioneering renewables organisations including British Gas, B&Q, Regen SW, BT, RIBA and the National Trust

The conference will be held over 2 days, with day 1 on ‘Smart Energy and Business’ and day 2 on ‘Smart Energy and Communities’. With Copenhagen fast approaching and speculation growing about what the government will announce on Tariffs and when, this is a great time to network with the industry, investors and supporters of a step change in renewables deployment across the UK.
