BAYAT ENERGY are launching EAWIN, the latest and compact types of hybrid wind and solar power generators the world has to offer, providing natural and clean power, saving energy as well as protecting the environment. This new technology of hybrid micro generation vertical axis wind turbines can start to generate electricity in wind speeds as low as 1.2 m/s, a world leader. The generators can operate soundlessly with wind speeds as low as 1m/sec and up to 60m/sec regardless of wind direction. Because of its unique capabilities, the break unit is fully automatic and will shut down operation in cases of extreme winds. Not only are they technologically advanced but also aesthetically pleasing, reliable and safe. Their stylish yet simple design integrates easily in both a busy downtown metropolis as well as any natural environment.
BEAMA aims to demonstrate a range of products from different manufacturers in the burgeoning area of Smart Metering. The BEAMA stand will have a backdrop outlining the wide range of products that their members produce that impact on the generation, distribution and end use of electricity. The main focus for this exhibition will be Smart Metering and this will be centred around demonstration equipment on the stand. An example of a demonstration board with a working Smart Meter and visual display unit is illustrated.
The Government commitment to the roll-out of Smart Metering to all homes by 2020 is expected to have a significant impact on consumers’ understanding and use of energy. The challenge of installing smart meters in 26 million households is immense but if we get it right the opportunities for delivering UK carbon savings are massive. The one-to-one engagement between consumers and energy suppliers on individuals’ energy use will be the catalyst for delivering a wide range of government policy ideals that have long been desired but not yet achieved i.e. Energy Services, Behaviour change, Targeted EE measures, Individuals taking ownership, ‘Feed in’ & multi rate tariffs - all of which will ultimately lead to culture change in the way consumers understand and amend their use of energy. Already we are seeing the installation of ‘smart’ technologies within homes and smart meters will soon follow to become the communication hub which will facilitate coordinated energy management between the demand side and the supply side. The final piece of the jigsaw will be the development of smart networks.
The BEAMA stand will feature household level Smart Metering and associated products and of interest to Energy Suppliers/Policy makers/Regulators/ Developers/Architects/Designers/End Users. The British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers Association (BEAMA) is the UK trade body for the electrical and allied industries. It has 150 members including several international brands, and many SMEs. It is a proactive organisation involved in many commercial and technical issues liaising with many stakeholders including the UK Government and the European Commission. In the field of Smart Metering BEAMA is the leading UK trade body coordinating industry engagement across Smart Metering, Smart Housing and Smart Grids. BEAMA staff are also actively engaged in the European Smart Metering Alliance and currently chair the European Smart Metering Industry Group.

THE REA is looking forward to welcoming you to the Smart Energy Show.
The renewable energy sector is well served with exhibitions and conferences already yet none of them are designed specifically for energy users and the potential of decentralised energy. In the UK, this sector is just starting to emerge as, following a successful campaign led by REA and Friends of the Earth, exciting new developments such as the upcoming feed-in tariffs and heat incentive means organisations and individuals can produce their own green energy and get paid to do so.
The conference, alongside the exhibition, will showcase the exciting array of decentralised energy technologies available today, their features and their practical application, as well as an overview of how each of these technologies will benefit under the new incentives.
If you are concerned with energy efficiency, the mounting cost of your energy bill or the impact of your carbon footprint, then Smart Energy is for you. It will be the one-stop shop providing you with all the information you need, from which technology is best suited for you to practical examples of how other people did it, not forgetting valuable information on how the ‘feed-in’ tariffs and heat incentive could benefit you and your business.
